April – Vacationing in North Myrtle Beach or the “Grand Strand” as it’s called is something many generations of people have enjoyed.  Some people make an annual trip to North Myrtle Beach every year in April for a celebration known as “Shagging on the Strand”.  The Shag is  South Carolina’s state dance.  This event takes place in the Ocean Drive Section of North Myrtle Beach.  Festival lasts a whole two weeks.  If you are planning a visiting in April be sure to shag on the beach!

May – Darlington Motor Speedway, this is where the Nascar Southern 500 takes place every year.  The first weekend of May is when you can catch the race.

May – Myrtle Beach Bike Week and Blue Crab Festival.  The Blue Crab Festival is held on the historic Little River each year.
